Personalised Wedding Stationery in North Wales
For couples who want wedding stationery as distinctive and memorable as their special day.
Introduction
Your wedding day is one of the most important days you’ll ever experience, and your choice of stationery sets the tone for the entire celebration.
We know that we shouldn’t judge a book by its cover, but we wouldn’t be human if we didn’t judge an event by its invitation.
Especially when it comes to weddings!
From Save-the-Dates to your on-the-day stationery, each piece has a crucial job to do for your special day.
Creating the perfect wedding stationery for you is so much more than words on paper.
With a little careful thought, it sets the stage for the many happy memories you’ll create together.
It’s the very start of your shared journey, inviting your friends, family, and loved ones to be a part of the beautiful story that is YOUR wedding day.
Based in Ruthin and serving couples across North Wales, we specialise in wedding stationery printing that sets the tone for your celebration.

Choosing the Right Paper & Card
All our papers are FSC-approved papers, the same quality we use in our bespoke funeral stationery range. The choice of paper sets the foundation for your stationery’s look and feel. We’ve handpicked four FSC-approved papers and cards to give you the very best options:
Accent Recycled
A crisp off-white uncoated paper made from 100% recycled fibre and FSC certified.
Versatile yet refined, it’s ideal for high-end wedding stationery and a perfect choice for eco-conscious couples in North Wales who want sustainability without compromising on elegance, durability, or print quality.
Fedrigoni Arena Natural Rough
Made in Italy in one of the leading paper mills in Europe, Fedrigoni’s Arena Natural Rough is one of the standout papers in their range.
This light cream stock has a magnificent and faintly coarse finish which provides a rich and luxurious feel to create the most elegant wedding stationery.
Zeta Matt Hammered
Understated elegance: produced in Germany, this high-quality paper from the Zanders Zeta range is known for its luxurious hammered texture and matte finish.
The subtle dimples create an intentional, hand-finished look that evokes traditional craftsmanship, adding character and sophistication to your stationery.
Print Speed
The long Eucalyptus fibres make this high-white paper and card an excellent choice when budgets are tight.
The strong virgin fibres also provide exceptional bulk and a beautiful uniform smooth surface for clear, crisp printing.
Your Wedding Stationery Printing Timeline
Timelines vary, but working with an experienced local printer in North Wales ensures you’ll avoid last-minute stress.
A smooth countdown makes all the difference. Here’s a simple guide to keep everything on track:
Ordering the Right Quantities
A clear guest list is your best friend. Invitations and RSVPs often cover whole households, while Orders of Service are needed per guest.
Printing a small run-on quantity is inexpensive compared to last-minute reprints, so allow a 10% margin when you order. This saves both money and stress when guest list changes inevitably crop up.
Using Canva? Remember to:
- Set dimensions in millimetres, not pixels.
- Switch colour profile from RGB to CMYK for professional printing.
- Extend backgrounds into the bleed area.
- Keep text within a safe zone (5–8mm from trim).
Not sure? Don’t worry. Our design team in Ruthin can prepare your artwork for print, saving you time, effort, and potential reprints with our graphic design services.
Standard Sizes: Here are the most popular standard sizes for Wedding Invitations and Orders of Service. However, bespoke sizes are easily catered for.
A6: Postcard size 105mm x 148mm
DL: 1/3rd A4 99mm x 210mm
A5: 148mm x 210mm
A4: 210mm x 297mm
Please check that your page size isn’t set up as US A4 or Letter (215.9mm x 279.4mm) before you start.
Using Canva to create your Artwork.
1. Page sizes.
Canva is an increasingly popular design tool but please check that you are using UK “A” size page sizes and not US Letter.
Also check that the page dimensions are in millimetres and not pixels.
2. Colour changes:
As Canva is an online editor, it uses the RGB (red, green, blue) colour profile which is how we see colours on our phones, computer screens and TVs.
However, commercial printers print use CMYK (cyan, magenta, yellow, black) so RGB colours must be converted to CMYK, and these may vary from the ones you saw on screen when creating your work.
Under Colour Profile pull the menu down and select CMYK (best for professional printing).
3. Adding Bleed or Trim
In commercial printing, “bleed” refers to the area extending beyond the final trimmed edge of a printed document.
It’s an extra margin which printers use to ensure that when the document is trimmed to its final size, there are no unsightly white edges.
Here’s how to add it in Canva.
4. Canvas size:
Begin with a canvas size larger than you need.
For instance, if your final size is an A5 invitation the page size will be 148mm x 210mm.
To add bleed simply extend the canvas to 154mm x 216mm which adds an extra 3 mm to each edge for the final trim.
5. Extend Backgrounds and Design Elements:
Expand any background colours or images to cover the entire canvas, including the bleed area to prevent white borders after trimming.
6. Safe Zone:
Keep your design within the Safe Zone.
Keep all critical text, images, and design elements within a designated safe zone, usually around 5mm to 8mm from what the final trimmed edge will be. This prevents important content from being trimmed off during printing.
7. Export with Bleed:
Once your design is complete, download your file as a PDF.
If available, select the option for “Crop marks” or “Bleed marks” during export to indicate the bleed area.
