The Spy Who Loved Me …

The email landing in my inbox read a bit like a Ben Macintyre spy novel.

Clouded in mystery and intrigue, it explained that a man had collapsed in the street in Holywell and whilst attempting to establish his identity one of OUR business cards had been found “about his person.”

KGB Double Agent Oleg Antonovich Gordievsky this was obviously not.

But who was he and why was this mysterious person contacting us?

I immediately suspected an ex-copper if only for the rather feeble reason that no one says things like “about his person.”

We never did find out who the unfortunate man was nor were we able to check that he made a complete recovery from his ordeal.

However, the individual who’d got in touch had done so because he was looking for help with a rather complicated print project of his own.

As far-fetched as all this may sound this is a true story.

It did have a happy ending of sorts because the mysterious contact person actually became a customer.

Little did I know Know that this tale would be useful at some point and so it has proved.

Because this month we’re shining a light on Business Cards in all their glory and if you’d like to find out more, please do get in touch.

Until next time.

Alec

PS (*) If you haven’t yet got your holiday read sorted Ben Macintyre’s true story “The Spy and the Traitor” is a tense and gripping read.
