An apple a day …

For some, the first day of Spring is the Vernal Equinox.

For others, it’s the meteorological 1st of March.

For the equine world, it’s the glorious spectacle of national hunt racing at Cheltenham.

But for me, it’s apple tree pruning before my collection of Bardsey, Bramley, Nant Gwrtheyrn and Anglesey Pig Snouts burst into life.

It’s a job which takes up many hugely enjoyable hours. But on an unsteady ladder on soft ground, perils abound.

But not this year. Because I’ve invested in a 3-metre tripod pruning ladder.

Ok, it might not sound like the most exciting purchase in the world, but it’s the perfect tool for the job and I should have bought one years ago.

Because the job that used to take me two full weekends took me just one single morning.

Which meant I had plenty of time to kick back and enjoy the glorious sunshine …

There are always better ways to do things and the cost in business can be HUGE.

When it comes to graphic design, we often see work that’s been produced using software packages that just aren’t up to the task.

Most of the time these projects must be rebuilt using professional software before they can go to print, rendering the initial design obsolete.

This often leaves people thinking they’ve probably wasted a bit of time …

So, if you’ve got any designs you’re thinking of pressing ahead with, I’m on hand for a chat about anything to do with Print or Web Design.

Stay safe.
