Drive to Survive

If you’ve not seen Netflix’s “Drive to Survive” I wholeheartedly recommend it.

The fly on the wall documentary peeks behind the glamorous veil of Formula 1, its drivers, cars, team principles.

You can almost smell the petrol as the cameras record the fast-moving action – on and off the track.

Its detractors say, however, that it’s a little too confected and bears little resemblance to reality …

Either way, it makes for an amazing spectacle and highlights the exceptionally talented and driven individuals who make Formula 1 racing what it is.

Season 3 follows Christian Horner, Red Bull Racing’s team principal and his determination to wrench the world crown from Mercedes. After witnessing one of his drivers’ on-track, unforced errors he is heard to utter:

“There’s a world of difference between thinking you can do something and believing you can do it.”

Which is possibly why, in real life, you see people tiptoeing around an issue making little progress compared to those gifted few who grab an opportunity with both hands and refuse to let go until it’s done.

They are the ones who believe they can and will see a project through to completion.

Whether that’s sorting out your website, getting ready for that big event, or moving forward with a big print job you’ve not pressed ahead with yet.

And on that note, if you want a sounding board or just want to bend my ear, I’m on hand for a chat about anything to do with Print or Web Design.

Stay safe.
