Wine on tap …

Up and down the country, in factories and offices across the land Britain’s entrepreneurs work tirelessly on product improvement.

Making their product or service just that little bit better than the competition.

Maybe it’ll be faster. It could be cheaper. Possibly bigger or smaller or even … an evolutionary step-change in design.

Whatever it is, it must seize the imagination and stand out from the crowd and take a bold leap away from the ordinary.

It’s something the French people can carry off with aplomb.

Our Senior Service personnel were engaged on exercises with the French navy back in the 70’s when they were delighted to find red wine on tap.

Not in a bar, café, restaurant or somewhere you might expect, but aboard an Aircraft Carrier following manoeuvres.

Amazingly, the copious crimson libation was delivered to all areas of the French seaborne flag carrier by a ring main designed expressly for this purpose.

Surely a leap of innovation and ingenuity worthy of applause and one to bear in mind as we attempt to bring a touch of stardust to our own offerings …
